Using Hi-ToolKit for Business

Hi-ToolKit for Business is an Hitachi software product that has been devised to help professionals involved in designing the installation of heating and air-conditioning systems in non-residential buildings. In just a few clicks, it allows professionals to quickly and reliably select an Hitachi system from the UTOPIA, SET FREE, MonoMultiZONE, Summit or Shirokuma range of products.
The tool is very easy to use and incorporates Next and Back buttons to guide users through each of the stages involved in setting up a comprehensive professional project file.
The tool runs through six separate stages, from selecting the required units to generating the implementation report....

1 - Selecting the heating and air-conditioning products, from "mono-split" units to direct expansion "VRF" systems. It is possible to combine all of the product ranges featured in the Hitachi catalogue.
A thermal report can also be used as a basis for selecting the internal units. The software will then propose the most appropriate external units to resolve the specific issue.
Any type of remote control device, centralised control unit, monitoring unit or communication gateway can be assigned to the units - Modbus, KNX, Bacnet and LonWorks, including a dedicated alert gateway in the event of failure, with another gateway dedicated to managing common ventilation systems. The software therefore checks the various combinations and ensures that all selections are valid.

2 - Designing a cooling diagram based on the selected products: distribution by manifold or distributor, in automatic or manual mode, for optimum alignment with the structure of the building. Inputting different lengths on the diagram enables an automatic adjustment based on this constraint.

3 - Designing the corresponding electrical control diagram, which is mapped out automatically by specifying the obligatory cable markers, including the associated documentation for the selected products.

4 - Solution description with a specific project file generated by the software. It contains a detailed description of all equipment, the corresponding limitations and the points to be monitored.

5 - A Quantity section lists all of the equipment and quantity references, piping lengths, cable sections and protection types, including any backup cooling devices that may be required, etc.

6 - The final installation stage specifies each of the adjustments to be checked with the exact values of each parameter, switch and option.

The design section concludes with the option of printing a customised project file that you can send to the customer directly. This project file lists each of the previous steps, and all content is archived automatically to prevent data loss.
